“Thanks for arranging our wonderful South American tour – we had a marvellous time, and can only look forward to the next time we may be lucky enough to visit the continent again…I should say that every transfer, no matter how early or late, was carried out on time, by friendly, competent guides. Our forward flights were always confirmed and in most cases the guide would check in our luggage and attend to seat allocations, and payment of departure tax on our behalf – we were quite spoiled in that regard!… it was good to see that Rio streets are not quite as dangerous as they were. Although (our guide) advised us not to wear any jewellery and to be aware of pick-pockets, we found we could walk quite safely along Copacabana Beach esplanade any time from 6 in the morning to 11 at night, along with many thousands of others – locals and tourists; we didn’t feel the least bit threatened.”
