Itinerary
Day 1 Merida
Arrival transfer airport to hotel; as the capital of the Yucatan, Merida is the ideal place to begin your exploration of the Peninsula.
Day 2 Merida
Half day tour of Merida historic centre, including the Plaza Central, Cathedral & Santa Lucia Park. (B)
Day 3 Merida
Full day tour Hacienda Sotuta de Peon; a step back in time as we explore what was once a fully operational henequen processing hacienda. There will be time for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of a cenote (sinkhole) at the end of the tour. (B)
Day 4 Merida/Chichen-Itza
Transfer to Chichen Itza this morning for a guided tour of the ruins & lunch. Overnight walking distance from the ruins- you may like to return for the evening sound & light show this evening. (BL)
Day 5 Chichen-Itza/Playa Del Carmen
Morning at leisure to explore the ruins; afternoon transfer to Playa del Carmen & your hotel. (B)
Day 6 Playa Del Carmen
This morning we visit Tulum, the only Mayan archaeological site located on the coast. Although it is a relatively small site, the beauty of its location have made it one of the Yucatan’s most visited sites. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 7 Playa Del Carmen
Day at leisure to relax and explore (B)
Day 8 Playa Del Carmen/Cancun
Transfer to the airport in Cancun for your onwards flight. (B)
