Itinerary
Day 1 Punta Arenas/Torres del Paine
Depart Punta Arenas this morning (either from the airport or your hotel), traveling to Puerto Natales where we stop for a chance to visit the town, store excess luggage at our office and enjoy a hearty lunch.
After lunch we continue to Cueva de Milodon, a massive prehistoric cave where the remains of as giant ground sloth were discovered in the 1890’s. We arrive at the Eco Camp this afternoon & settle into your accommodation before learning more about your activities for the following days. (LD)
Day 2 Torres del Paine
Depart on an easy full day tour visiting Lago Grey & Grey Glacier. We drive across the Park with views of Paine Grande and its snowy peaks, as well as of Los Cuernos – the famous mountain with black granite horn-like spires. Walking along the shores of stunning Lake Pehoe, you visit the furious Salto Grande falls which pour the waters of Lake Nordenskjold over Pehoe. The walk continues over the gentle Nordenskjold trail until reaching its picture-perfect lookout point. Later, back at Lake Pehoe, the vehicle takes us on a drive south to a beach along the shores of glacial Lake Grey. After relaxing with a box-lunch by the lake, we embark on a boat ride across icy waters to the towering blue-colored walls of Glacier Grey. This is an incredible sight! After visiting the glacier, we drive back to the EcoCamp.(BLD)
Day 3 Torres del Paine
We start the day driving towards Laguna Azul, in the north eastern side of the Park. We make some stops to take gorgeous photos of the local flora and fauna along the road, including one at Paine Waterfall. Once in Laguna Azul we hike to a sightseeing point where we’ve a panoramic view of both the lagoon and granite towers. We continue along the eastern side of Lago Sarmiento to the calcium formations on the lake’s shores where guanacos are often seen. Later we walk to Paso Las Corneas with beautiful views of Rio Paine, Lake Pehoe and the Paine Massif. We then head back to the EcoCamp. (BLD)
Day 4 Torres del Paine
After breakfast board the van that will drop you off at Cerro Castillo (at the Argentine border) on time to catch the public bus going to Calafate. Arrive in Calafate bus terminal where our transfer waits for you and then drive to your hotel.
