Explore the labyrinthine Patagonian channels and fjords of Chile on board the magnificent Skorpios III. Imposing glaciers, crystalline waterfalls, Lenga forests and gigantic ferns dot the landscape as we sail the same routes carved out by famous explorers such as Darwin, Ladrillero and Fitzroy. The M/V Skorpios III has 45 cabins and a capacity for up to 90 passengers and possesses the most advanced telecommunication technology and satellite navigation.
Transfer to the Skorpios Terminal this afternoon to check in and board your Skorpios III cruise. The cruise will weigh anchor at around 5pm and begin sailing through the Angostura Kirke, Morla, Vicuña, Unión, Collingwood and Sarmiento Channels.
Early this morning, the Skorpios III will arrive at the Amalia Glacier and begin the approach so you can enjoy panoramic views from the ship. You will disembark at about 9: 00 am on a nearby beach and take a soft hike to a viewpoint from where you can admire the glacier.
Later, continue sailing towards El Brujo Glacier; on arrival, you may disembark (weather permitting) and view the glacier from a nearby rock outcrop. Back on board you will start to sail in the direction of the Calvo Fjord. Here you will board the Capitán Constantino icebreaker and sail along the icy fjord. You will also visit the Fernando, Capitan Constantino and Alipio Glaciers. Later this evening, you will begin sailing towards Montañas Fjord.
This morning you’ll visit Montañas Fjord, where you can see four glaciers sliding down the side of Sarmiento Mountain. Later this morning, board a smaller expedition boat and visit Alsina Glacier and its lovely bay.
After lunch, disembark once again at Bernal Glacier, boarding the boats to a beach nearby and then hiking to the base of the glacier. Back on board, the Skorpios III begins sailing back towards Puerto Natales, crossing Angostura Kirke later this evening. You’ll join the farewell Captain’s Dinner and dance onboard.
Arrive Puerto Natales early this morning; disembarkation begins around 8:00 am at the Skorpios Terminal.
