It was my second time visiting Ecuador and the Galapagos which was lucky and it was just as wonderful as the first time!
I absolutely loved the hotel in Quito the Casa Gangotena, great location, amazing service and inclusions.
Monica our tour guide was lovely, very kind and accommodating.
I liked all the other hotels we inspected, so my favourite of those would have been the La Casona de la Ronda.
Mashpi Lodge was great fun, I love being out of the city so I really liked this place. The staff were unreal they knew their stuff and got to know us and our likes very quickly. I loved how it’s only small so it feels unique and a privileged to be there. Great variety of activities to part take in, something for everyone. Highly recommend the sky bike and The DragonFly.
Galapagos is my favourite place I’ve been to date. I find it magical with all the wildlife and how many of the islands are untouched.
I thought La Pinta was a lovely boat with great facilities and great for those who are really after ‘soft adventure’ especially if they are older and not super mobile. I personally prefer to cruise this area with much fewer people (under 20) I felt 40 was a lot and there was a bit of waiting around for pangas and some people did activities they were not capable of, which I understand is hard to monitor, it was frustrating for those who were capable. The staff were very extremely knowledgeable but I felt they lacked a bit of enthusiasm. I would certainly be qualifying my clients' ability’s and what they expect from the Galapagos to make sure I put them on the right boat.
Overall Contours offer an amazing product (which we know!) and I can highly recommend them, the staff.
Thanks!
