The journey on board the Anakonda deluxe cruise will take you into the heart of biodiversity in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Navigate down the river on a marvellous, state-of-the-art vessel, undoubtedly a great way to explore the Amazon basin.

The inspiring adventure will provide many unexpected, astonishing wildlife encounters while you discover Yasuní, Ecuador’s largest National Park. The park contains over 200 species of butterflies and 596 species of birds. It is also home to 150 species of amphibians, 121 species of reptiles, and 200 species of mammals.

You can choose between 4 Days, 5 days, and 8 days itineraries. During your cruise, you will be able to climb observation towers to enjoy unique perspectives of the forest. You will paddle through blackwater rivers escorted by otters and turtles. Hike trails and learn about the beautiful flora that makes up the eternal green of Ecuadorian Amazonia.

About the Anakonda Amazon River Cruise:

This is the only luxury cruise in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. Its eighteen suites feature ample sitting areas and large and comfortable beds. It has a large observation deck and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The alfresco lounge is ideal for cocktails, relaxation, reading or simply enjoying the spectacular view. There are three canoes and ten kayaks available for land excursions and activities.
The Suites and cabins on the Anakonda cruise have all the perks of comfort while cruising the Amazon. The Suites have private balconies and Jacuzzis which are perfect for unwinding in the privacy of your cabin. While the large cabins also feature full-frame panoramic windows for a great view of the jungle. ITINERARY

Day 1 Quito/Amazon

Departure from Quito. A short 30-minute will take you to the frontier town of Coca (Francisco de Orellana) – and transfer to the dock, where you will embark on a motorized canoe and navigate down river about 1 hour, to board the M/V Anakonda Amazon. Throughout the journey, you will have a chance to admire the rainforest landscape and banks of the great Napo River.
After boarding the M/V Anakonda, you will continue navigating downstream. You will have their first opportunities to enjoy the exciting features of the cruise ship: the spacious social areas, comfortable suites, and an observation deck that offers spectacular views. An evening walk is organised after sunset; it gives you the opportunity to discover the forest’s nocturnal activity and listen to the incessant sounds of nature.

Day 2 Amazon

After a delicious breakfast, disembark on land for your first daylight close-and-personal tropical rainforest experience, where we will learn about the relationship between plants and animals while closely watching out for samples of Amazonia’s fascinating biodiversity at every turn.
After lunch, the M/V Anakonda navigates to one of the most pristine and little explored sections of Ecuadorian Amazonia, home to the legendary pink river dolphin, black caiman and anaconda. We may also find river turtles and various species of monkeys, as well as the primitive Hoatzin, a one-of-a-kind bird locally known as “Stinky Turkey”. The only way to actually visit this flooded ecosystem is by canoe, a ride that will reveal the beauty of a lush jungle world.

Day 3 Amazon

After breakfast, you will have the chance to visit local a school located on the banks of the Napo River, where you will have the opportunity to interact with children of the area and learn about the educational system of a remote jungle community in Ecuador.
Return on board the M/V Anakonda for lunch and enjoy a lecture and documentary screening, and if time permits, learn about (and make) typical handicrafts of the area. In the afternoon, explore one of the largest river islands of the Napo River.

Day 4 Amazon

This morning, visit an observation tower, built against a giant kapok tree. From the top of the tower, you will have a unique perspective of the forest, looming over the treetops and the greatness of the Amazon Basin.
In the afternoon, visit Limoncocha Biological Reserve, a fascinating protected area where more than 478 bird species and several monkey species have been recorded. This activity will extend into the evening when you will have a chance to spot black caiman with the help of our flashlights. Return to the M/V Anakonda for dinner.
