During the afternoon, a briefing will be held to review the week’s activities and special features about Pikaia Lodge and Galápagos. Additionally, after dinner a 3D HD documentary on Galapagos filmed by Sir David Attenborough will be shown in our Explorers Lounge for those interested in gathering some additional information about this unique place.
Day 2 Santa Cruz Isl.
Today you will have a land explorations day.
Each morning, the hotel staff plans exploration options based on satellite weather imagery, wildlife seasons and tides charts. Depending on climactic conditions and the season, programs are designed to visit various beaches, volcanic craters, or lava tunnels; look for giant tortoises and endemic wildlife; visit the Charles Darwin Scientific Research Centre at the National Park; or visit organic coffee farms in the highlands to see how settlers live.
Today you can choose from the extended menu of excursions that your Naturalist guides have for you.
Day 3 Santa Cruz Isl.
This morning, enjoy a yacht exploration through Santa Fe and South Plaza Island. The yacht cruise is a full day program on board the exclusive PIKAIA I Yacht. Early in the morning you will be transferred to the port to board the yacht. On arrival, private cabins are assigned and full American breakfast served. You will be able to choose from lots of different activities such as hiking, or snorkelling activities, until early afternoon. A lunch buffet is served while the yacht sails to the next visitor site, for an afternoon of hiking, or snorkelling.
While sailing, you can rest, shower, or freshen up in their air-conditioned private cabins, soak in the Jacuzzi, watch a Galapagos documentary, join a discussion with guides, sunbathe on the sun deck or look out for dolphins.
Day 4 Santa Cruz Isl.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Baltra Island Airport and check-in for your onwards flight.
