Galapagos Safari Camp is the perfect option for those seeking a land-based program in the Galapagos Islands. With only nine safari-style tents, the Galapagos Safari Camp is small by design and exclusive by definition. Their size allows them to be flexible and to customize your experience.

Galapagos safari tents are covered by three layers of canvas for comfort and shelter. Their private balcony decks, perfect for some hammock-time, give way to spacious, stylish rooms decorated in tasteful safari-style simplicity. All our tents have several electrical sockets for charging cameras and devices. Stretch out on your comfortable bed and enjoy the views. Take a sun-powered hot shower in your en-suite bathroom before heading to the viewpoint for sunset drinks.

Your all-inclusive stay will include excursions to surrounding islands and meals prepared using produce from the property’s own organic garden. We recommend a minimum four night stay to get the most out of your trip to the Galapagos Islands. Alternatively, consider combining a shorter Galapagos cruise with a stay at the Galapagos Safari Camp to experience the best of both worlds.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Galapagos Islands/Santa Cruz Isl.

On arrival to Baltra Island airport, you will be met by a bilingual naturalist guide who will take you to a farm in the highlands of Santa Cruz. Here, you will enjoy a delicious lunch locally sourced at a farm in the western hills.

After lunch, you will take a complete tour of the highlands. You will get a chance to explore the area and see different types of vegetation, walk around pit craters, through lava tunnels and get acquainted with endemic Scalesia and Guayabillo forests. At the Tortoise Reserve, you will observe the emblematic Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat and the abundant bird life of the highlands. Your tour will end at Galapagos Safari Camp where you can enjoy a sunset cocktail followed by dinner.

Day 2 Santa Cruz Isl.

Today, have an early morning and take the motor vessel to one of the neighbouring islands: North Seymour, Bartolome, Plazas, Santa Fe, Floreana or Isabela. Each island is an endemic treasure to explore and enjoy.

Day 3 Santa Cruz Isl.

Today you can visit The Galapagos Marine Reserve. This paradise is the second largest reserve in the world; you will be able to snorkel off the boat and experience the richness of the aquatic species. Alternatively, if you are scuba certified you can replace one or both day trips with diving.

Day 4 Santa Cruz Isl.

In the morning you will be driven to the eastern part of the island. At 490 metres above sea level, Cerro Mesa offers dramatic views, has the largest crater on Santa Cruz and numerous endemic plants as well as up to 7 subspecies of finches and the Vermillion Flycatcher. After lunch, you will visit Garrapatero, a pristine beach where the contrast of mangroves, black lava, white sand and turquoise water, in addition to the buzzing coastal bird life and the small pink flamingo lagoon is sensational. Kayaking and mountain biking is available.
